My Sacred Space

Throughout history, witches have practiced magic and called upon ethereal beings and all worldly offerings to help bring about positive change for all. Although many Witches and Pagans were feared as keepers of the Devil’s ways, in reality, we were simply natural healers, the “Wise Women” (and men) of our collective times, who only sought to bring the forth the powerful natural gifts provided by Our Mother, even to those who would rudicule and fear us.
Today, we find a greater acceptance of our beliefs and abilities, as natural extensions of ourselves. Witches, Wizards, Soothsayers, Mediums, Apothecaries and those like us are sought for our problem-solving skills and knowledge of all things natural. We are called upon for healing, cleansing, blessing, enlightenment, and all around good works.
Many of us join with covens, official or more relaxed, and many of us practice in solitary, each as we desire. Either way, we all strive to make all life here and in the hereafter, the best it can be.
Some of us use specific tools and symbols to gather insight and direct intention. Wands, candles, oils and incense, herbs, pendulums, sigils, scrying mirrors, tea leaves, runes, gifted feathers, sacred woods, botanicals and more, can all be powerful allies in our practice.
We may classify ourselves as Green Witches, Garden Witches, Kitchen Witches, Hedge Witches, White Witches, Healers, Apothecaries, Wiccan, Pagan, Neo-Celtic or Neo-Pagan, Druid, Mediums, Ceremonial, Elemental, Lewellen and so many more. Some choose to delve into magical studies. Many prefer not to select a particular path at all. Only you know who you are.
Specific tools and symbols may be employed to assist with gathering insight and directing intention. Wands, candles, oils and incense, herbs, pendulums, sigils, scrying mirrors, tea leaves, runes, gifted feathers, fire, water, crystals, sacred woods, botanicals and more, can all be powerful allies in our practice.
I consider myself to be an Eclectic Hereditary, as I draw from the knowledge of the many Ancients as well as bring born into a long line of humble, yet strong-willed Celtic Wise-Women, Herbal Healers, schooled by Jesuits and Druids, Mothers, Grandmothers and Great Aunts.
We are “The Knowers”, born with an innate ability to sense and feel others, a gift that sometimes needs to be reigned in for our own well-being. Fortunate to have been encouraged to gather knowledge and to explore all things known and unknown, big and small, felt and sensed, even as a child I knew that there was much more to life than meets the eye.
We here at WitchTastic, love to hear about your own personal journey to this space.
Remember, we are all one here. It's OK to share.
I shaped this powerful wand with naturally felled wood from Lehigh County, PA. Hand-Carved with love, it’s intentions grew evident. Bejeweled with a kaleidoscope of Mother Earth’s crystals, and blessed, saged, anointed with frankensence, amber and rose oil, imbued with positivity, this work of love calls forth all the magic that awaits.
